The last post is (as the category description says) a dialogue. It’s a form I enjoy writing in, but haven’t touched for some time. The dialogue I just posted, about radiometric dating and Young Earth Creationism, is something I’d written a year ago but neglected to edit. If I were to develop it further there would probably be more images to explain certain complicated concepts, and I might have taken a little longer to tease out other arguments.
But the essential point of the dialogue, for me, is simply to write in a form that compels me to present the opposing view in the strongest light possible, then counter that presentation of the argument over the usual straw men figurations. I do not always succeed, but the attempt is quite useful for me nonetheless.
I hope to write more of these going forward. This one shows some wear and tear, but perhaps the next will be stronger. If you read it anyway, I tip my hat to you; it’s certainly not a form that gets much notice these days.
